New Port Richey, Fort Lauderdale, Clearwater.
I sold my home in Texas for a good profit and re-located to the fast growing community of New Port Richey, Florida, in the middle of the 1990's . My family was in real estate, my mother a real-estate broker in the county and I purchased a home....in the center of town, off River Road. The community welcomed me, as I immediately worked in the community gallery and joined the art guild of Pasco County. Exhibited in local galleries and had several one man shows. I displayed a rotating and permanent exhibition in an upscale café across from the community theatre. This enabled me to keep me and my art in the public eye and especially professionals who would purchase my work.
I was asked to join the town council and became active in the landscaping of downtown, widening Main Street, improving Simms Park and the community. I opened Sunset Studios and painted each day.....and continued to network and exhibit, throughout Florida.
My yellow Labrador and I took daily bike rides and hikes in the nearby nature preserves. WE traveled to Princeton each summer to supply galleries with my work....and spend time with old acquaintance and spend weekends at the shore.
Peter and Bonnie Lowe at Vista Art were impressed with my work and professionally and beautifully framed hundreds of finished works I had done and had stored. Especially that done in Bucks County and the Southwestern USA. Because of their fine and numerous framing, I was able to market my work, and obtain better prices. (to be continued)
